Design tips:

Lighting techniques:
Various lighting techniques:
They are used to allow shrub, trees and stone work spring to life at night, while maintaining a safe outdoor environment for your family and visitors.
These techniques are achieved through various lighting formats such as up-lighting, down-lighting, moon-lighting, cross-lighting, shadowing, path-lighting and back-lighting.
Each technique requires consideration to placement, brightness, beam width, angle, direction, and spacing to achieve the desired effects. The variety of fixtures and products offered by Outdoor Lighting Ireland provides a versatile template for all these situations.
- Architectural lighting techniques are used to accentuate architectural features common to stone and brick work.[etc] Architectural lighting also applies to statues, pergolas, patios decking and water features.
- Path lighting : landscape lights provides safety and security by illuminating driveways and walkways.
- Moon lighting and down-lighting :are accomplished by mounted fixtures in raised areas to create a moonlight effect. This method encourages cast shadows and silhouette to produce a variety of patterns on the lawn and other ground surfaces.
- Shadowing and backlighting: incorporate background light to dramatically enhance landscape and structural features.
- Cross lighting: integrates intersecting light beams at deliberate angles to produce depth of field from the blend of light and shadows.
- Up-lighting: involves casting light upward to highlight the texture, size, color and features at night.
- Zoning :the lighting systems can be used to provide independent control for various lighting scenarios.
